Sup guys!

I know it's been a really long time, but I'm happy to announce that I'm almost finished with the next part of my "Core of the Apple" comic!

 My original plans were to release it tomorrow, but there's still a lot of finishing work left, so sadly, that's not going to happen. Instead, I'm pushing the release date back to this weekend, probably late Sunday. I have a busy week ahead, but even if I miss my Sunday target date, it WILL be up very soon thereafter.

Core of the Apple has given me a certain reputation among my friends, jokingly I'm the 'Sad Applejack Guy.'



Though I have plenty of lighthearted comics and pictures in my gallery, WHO AM I to shatter personal perceptions!?

So in anticipation of COTA Part 5, I'd like to declare this Sunday the 17th
"SAD APPLEJACK DAY!"

Here's what I'd like to do: for you artists out there, draw a picture of Applejack feeling sad, note me a link, and I'll feature it in this journal!

It doesn't have to be overly fancy, I'll accept sketches. If you've drawn a picture of AJ feeling sad in the past and you want to submit it, feel free to do that too!

:Edit: Well dang. Seems I missed my target again. @_@ Skyrim + a thunderstorm that lasted most of Sunday prevented me from finishing the comic... I have another busy week again, but I'll plow forward and realistically speaking, you should be able to read COTA5 sometime this coming weekend. Cheers!

Hey guys! Bout time I updated this journal isn't it?

Apologies for the limited activity over the last few months. I've had... a lot going on. My grandpa had another stroke in July. This one hit him really hard. -Much harder than the last two... I didn't think he was going to make it out of the hospital for awhile there. He still has slurred speech and he's been using a walker to get around. I believe that he's going to keep improving, albeit slowly, but I'm not sure if he'll ever completely regain what he lost from this stroke. It's been very stressful. Then about four weeks ago Grandpa and Grandma got into a car wreck (it wasn't their fault but the car ended up being totaled). My family spent most of the day up at the hospital waiting to hear the radiology reports. Fortunately, aside from some bruising they were fine, but very sore. Then, believe it or not, two days ago my grandma fell off a stool, and we're pretty sure she broke her ankle. We'll find out for sure tomorrow. I only hope if it's broken it's just a fracture... On top of all this- work ,while enjoyable, has been crazy lately. We've opened up a 40,000 sq ft addition to the clinic and so the IT department has been working overtime the last two months and counting to get everything ready, and move the various departments to their areas in the new building. I've had to work a number of Saturdays. For awhile, it felt like the project was never going to end! Though there is a light at end of the tunnel as the last large department has been moved. Now it's just the smaller offices that need hooked up. There's still tons of work to do, but maybe things will slow down a bit and let us catch our breaths.
So as you can see, life has been crazy lately. When I get home after work, I'm so tired I often vegetate in front of the TV or just do random crap rather then draw or create artwork. I hope things will slow down soon and I'll start changing this trend. I've become a huge fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, (I'm sure most of you have noticed the meme's going on around here.) so hopefully this will encourage me to get the creative juices flowing again and start making art! Only time will tell...
