I really loved how you showed Dash's personality just like it is! And this is a great start to something that could be even more fantastic. I'm surmany people thought of this scenario, but you took it to another level. Your style of drawing very unique and appealing to the eye. This comic is sure to have a positive affect (and emotional affect) on all who see and read it.
All who read this will be waiting for the second edition! As the story coninues (if it continues), you are sure to create and develop many fans for this series and for your artwork, including yours truly.
This is a great example of a comic that really nails what it's trying to do. The message is clear; Scootaloo is completely heartbroken because her hero essentially went back on her word after making a life-changing promise. The best part? Along with Scootaloo being sad that Dash is about to abandon her, she might also be sad because of a reason unsaid (perhaps her family never has time for her and she truly sees Dash as a big sister), which leaves some to the imagination and gives a fresh, unique message to every person viewing via their own personal headcanon.
And Dash is played brilliantly here. She's another step closer to achieving her life's dream, and is so caught up in the moment that she forgets the filly she'd promised to take under her wing. And the look on her face when she realizes it at the very end... it's heartbreaking.
The facial expressions do their job wonderfully and look great on the artist's style of drawing the ponies. The shading gives an element of realness to the comic that the show doesn't quite have — and hey, that's the charm of comics. Classic!
My only gripe is that the anatomy looks a little weird in some areas. Regardless, excellent work, artist. May we have a part 2?
