I don't think I'm the only one who felt that the bullying in "One Bad Apple" might've gone beyond verbal threats... much farther.
has been instructing me on the use of painting techniques in Photoshop. The end result is something that I... quite honestly have trouble looking at. I didn't intend for the picture to be so... so brutal. But honestly, that feeling of horror and apprehension is something everybody SHOULD feel when you witness someone being bullied especially physically. It's not okay.
This will be the last sad picture for a bit. The next two pictures will be happy and heartwarming. I promise.
This is just... so good!!!! ♥ w ♥ There is not a single crooked line and everything looks really realistic!! If that Appleblossom's tongue that the bully is pulling? cause I dont see much sense to that. I like how the boundery of the ponies are glowing/shining (because of the rain which makes it look perfect!) I also like how you made the rain look soo good and real! and drops on the ponies's face!? how do you do that!? ME SOO JELLY! ♥ n ♥ And also the dirt, you put them in the right places which makes it even more realistic! AWESOME!! ^^ ♥
poor CMC, I could totally see this beign true, I love Babs and all, and bullot oka, it completely wrong but the story with Babs does often happen, kids will bully because they are bullied sometimes.. which is also awful.
this is amazing work, and totally blew my mind when I seen it, you captured the mood and feel of this situation perfectly!! =3
I think you pretty much capture the entire spectrum of the bullying thing here. Defiance (Apple Bloom), despair (Sweetie Belle), defeat (Scootaloo).
Defying a bully to stand for yourself gets you hurt, and you find that the reason they can bully you in the first place is because they're stronger. This leads up to a sense of defeat, usually some sort of lethargic depression, a sense of acceptance even though you don't like it. You become dulled to it, until the bully decides to do something worse, at which point despair sets in.
Good job on the rain, the emotions and the poses. Very evocative, I say.
